No need to enter an trivial competitions in hope of 'winning' a weeks free parking on a certain driveway!

Best of luck in your new home! Kindly PM me when you are ready and sorted to take visitors! :D

I am afraid that the parking space is limited Tom.

As for visitors- you know that you would always be welcome. In fact, if you hop on a plane today, you could help unpack boxes, put the pictures on the wall etc.

Yup, thought straightaway ' You'll be lucky - it don't work like that ! ' It is laid down in our lease agreement that no resident has the authority to allow anyone to park unless they are actually staying on the premises . A further refinement is that no commercial ('tradesmens'' is the word used in the lease) vehicles are permitted to park overnight - that even applies if the owners are residents.

Of course, ours is rather a snooty complex ;) ;) ;) - or the management is - and tne lease was drawn up when 'tradesmen' didn't live in such places , but the rule is still upheld and observed .

The unpacking is going well thanks but we are awaiting some new furniture so won't be straight for a while yet.

As for seeing ships- we are not that close to the sea.

We hope that the unpacking is going well... we put things into cupboards in what we thought was logical order, but have now lost various bits and pieces. Our most difficult part was finding a space for my monster sized cruising suitcase, but it's in the miniscule loft space... we don't know how easy it will be to retrieve...
Enjoy learning your new area, and have lots of fun! xx

Thanks Jo. We are still trying to find things that haven't been unpacked yet. We don't have any logical order yet and are just muddling through.

Once our new lounge furniture arrives (dresser and sideboard) we will be able to unpack the stuff that wouldn't fit into our much smaller kitchen.

Meanwhile, we have been out and about in both the car and the buses getting to know our new area. :)
