Enjoy your new home, Jill and Plunky. I've always lived just a few miles from the sea and can't imagine not jumping in the car for a walk along the beach. I'm sure you'll be happy in your new home, if you knew it was the one straight away, it's a good sign. Xx

Can't beat it. We are about twelve miles from North and South Coasts of Cornwall. We look at the weather from our home each morning and decide to which beach to take the dogs.

Good to read that all has gone well. Enjoy Hampshire.

Until recently my daughter was living down there, near Launceston, so a bit farher from the two coasts than yourself but it was lovely when visiting to be able to explore either towards North or South and reach the sea well within the hour either way.

We've moved from London to the Seaside!

We love living by the sea in Plymouth. There are plenty of beaches to chose from not that we go to the beach very often unless taking the little ones. We don't tend to not go very far however during the holiday season as everywhere is usually crowded with visitors or as the locals call them grockles.

Just caught up with this news (picked it up from your news about your S. American cruise). Well done, especially on moving so quickly and I hope you will both be very happy in your new home and develop many new memories. You'll be almost down the road from us now too.

Thanks Lesley. We love it here and feel as though we are on a permanent holiday. :D

Yesterday, we decided to get some sea air so drove for just 15 minutes; unlike when we lived in Crayford when it was at least 75 minutes.

Cruises from Southampton will be easy too- just a taxi ride away. :D
