A journey around South Africa

They have arrived safely and are staying in Cullinan. Lesley says that it's been very rainy since they arrived.

Tomorrow they depart for Kruger National Park where they will spend the next three days.

Pity about the rain (for Lesley's tour group) as the game viewing in Kruger National Park will probably not be as good as it could be, the animals are drawn to the watering holes in dry conditions and you are much more likely to see them, including the rarer species. However, the people of South Africa have been experiencing a really long drought and all sorts of water restrictions are in place, so the rain will be welcome to them.

Good to know all went well with the outward journey and they have arrived safely. Hopefully the weather may have changed today after the much needed rain. :)

The weather forecast for Kruger National Park is now good until Friday, with maximum temperatures varying between 27 and 34 degrees C. Rain is due to return on Friday and this will also cool the temperatures down a little.

Lesley has texted me a couple of times to say the weather is hot, hot, hot with no rain.

They have seen lots of different animals including cheetahs, lions, giraffes and elephants. The tours start very early in the morning and finish mid afternoon ( I think she will need another holiday when she comes home). ;)

They have spent the last two days in Zululand and are due to transfer to Durban tomorrow.
