Aerobic and Fitness classes on board!!!!

Do you partake in fitness, stretching or aqua-aerobics classes onboard?

I wouldn't miss it for the world

Fred joined the fitness programme on our world cruise. I can't remember exactly how much it cost but it was under £100 for the whole cruise. She usually did one or two classes a day (yoga, pilates - that sort of thing), and sometimes more. Fred's in the middle. :)

I wouldn't dream of doing classes but I went with her and spent my time rowing and cycling. 8-)

We have taken part in fitness classes on board - "Dit and Be fit" and "Seastretch" classes - they don't cost extra on Saga. However, we don't really take part in them now - although we try to do "Seastretch" classes if we can - but we remain active on board as we take part in a lot of the deck game activities. Its also a great way to meet people and make friends too. We also do try and swim in the indoor pool occasionally on board as we do swimming regularly at home ad have both started doing weekly Aqua classes.

Aerobic and Fitness classes on board!!!!

Postby Jeffo » 28 Jan 2015 12:24

This is interesting for me, because when I'm at home, I go the gym four times a week. I do yoga stretches, and aerobic and anaerobic exercise. My routine takes about 2 hours. People ask me why I don't keep it up when I'm on a cruise ? I don't know why. The thing is, I really don't associate holidays with keeping fit and I have no interest in bringing it into my daily activities on board. I suppose I would if I was on a very long voyage, or crossing the Atlantic for example, as a means of getting from A to B, as opposed to being on holiday. Sometimes the fitness instructors on board give talks, and I always find them interesting e.g. on metabolism, and on pilates.
