It's my wife's birthday today - and a big one. Fred is 50! :D

We usually do a walk on a Saturday, and today our route took us to lunch at probably the best restaurant in the world: Potato Tomato in Whitstable.

At this point I ought to explain that Potato Tomato is jointly owned and run by my two daughters, and it's a vegan restaurant. But don't just take my word for how good it is... Potato Tomato has a 5.0 score on TripAdvisor and is a Certificate of Excellence 2018 Winner. You might have guessed that I'm a proud dad! :D

It being only noon (on the dot) when we arrived, we both chose a light lunch of 'Chuna' Melt with salad and vegetable crisps, retro banana splits, and coffee. Absolutely delicious!

A most pleasurable walk!

Jamie and Jimmy had vegan food as the theme on last Friday's programme, all very creative and delicious looking. We've been meat-reducers for years now. I don't actively decide veg or non-veg but last week we realised we hadn't eaten meat for 4 days had had fish though. Blue cheese salad followed by spaghetti and mushroom sauce for him and nut roast, swede and carrot mash for me tonight.
