'The Value of Travel Agents' blog

Postby Dave » 18 Jun 2019 15:10

I read the blog and thought it was extremely well written - and well argued.

We've used Cruise Select several times in the past and have always been more than happy with the service (which is more than I can say for some others we've tried!). A couple of bonuses have been the 'reward' scheme and invitations to visit ships.

For us though, cruising holidays have largely given way to walking holidays with self-catering accommodation. We're still doing an annual Christmas Caribbean cruise, but we've settled on TUI's Marella Cruises as our cruise line of choice and an agent isn't required now. Also, we actually enjoy searching for and arranging things ourselves nowadays. For anyone looking for an agent though, I can wholeheartedly recommend Cruise Select. ;)
Dave

Booked cruise 2019: December - Caribbean on Marella Explorer 2
Remaining land-based holidays 2019: July - Peak District, August - Harris and Highlands, October - Brecon Beacons

Thanks Dave, your words are really appreciated

We've read some of your reviews on your walking holidays and they sound great. Your forthcoming Brecon Beacons holiday also looks fabulous. We wish you a wonderful time.

We have used 'Cruise select' several times and would thoroughly recommend them - very knowledgable, helpful and efficient. And, as Dave wrote, their Loyalty Scheme is very welcome.
