Trying to work out what's going on with Sapphire on her Carribean cruise. She missed out the Azores en route due to weather and called at Funchal instead. I've been tracking her (or trying to) via various cruise apps, but it hasn't been updated since they left Bridgetown, Barbados almost a week ago. She was due to be in Cape Verde islands today, but when I checked this morning, she doesn't seem to have arrived. I finally for a position coordinates on her and it shows her next port of call is Tenerife on Saturday. She was supposed to be in Lanzarote on Sunday, and not supposed to be in Tenerife at all.

Latest Captain's blog is Feb 13 enroute from Barbados to Cape Verdi.

Just had an email from a friend on board

Looking forward to getting home - our tenth day at sea. Didn't get to cape Verde due to the rough seas and strong winds, diverted to Tenerife. Booked a trip in Tenerife, but itinerary changed due to snow!

OH my goodness. Here's us thinking we are hard done by with our, cold , snow, sleet, did see a bit of sun today. Not what you want from your cruise is it.

Sapphire has safely arrived in Tenerife and two other ships there too - Aida Sol and Oriana. I'm sure there will be a few people glad to see and experience terra firms again. Mind you with Jo Boase as CD, she will have kept them entertained!

Not sure where the tenth day at sea came from since she left Barbados on 9th and today is 17th.

You will be just ahead of us and visiting some of the same ports - but we will be on the "other" ship, you know the "little sister"! At least it seems like the weather in the Med is far warmer than here. Enjoy!
