Eating well in Liverpool

Eating well in Liverpool

Postby Eleanor » 21 Feb 2016 10:03

I had a nostalgic day in Liverpool when visiting my sister last week. We had a great meal in the Maritime Museum restaurant, very reasonably priced, wholesome and hot. The restaurant is unusual in that it's spacious but tables are spaced well apart and the window seats have fabulous views of the river. A lovely place for a lunch break ashore.

The Maritime Museum is brilliant. My daughter went to Uni in Liverpool for 3 years. I spent many happy long weekends on a visit whilst she was there and we used to go visit all the cultural places in Liverpool. A great City and such a shame not used so much for cruise ships.

Hannah, things seem to be looking up for Liverpool as a port of call. Over the last couple of days I've seen itineraries from Oceania, Regent and Azamara that are calling there in the summer. As you say, there's plenty to see and do on the waterfront.
