Following The Vet's and MiniVets' Cruise on MSC Opera

Postby JollyJill » 01 Dec 2015 22:34

Just heard from Tom.

He says that the bags are packed and outside the cabin. They have to vacate the cabin at 7.30 am, but their flight isn't until 21.00 and Tom has to be in Skopje (Macedonia) on Thursday. :o

Following The Vet's and MiniVets' Cruise on MSC Opera

Postby tomvet » 02 Dec 2015 07:36

Ship was very quiet last night. Most pax disembarked in Rome and few got on. Looks like it will be quiet run to Cuba.
We have just docked in Genoa so expect to be off in 45 mins. My feelings on the cruise. Excellent otinerary and price. Lovely ship and cabin. First class entertainment with fab kids facilities. Great food, served by great MDR staff and a first class cabin steward. We had great fun and laughs with some staff and not with pthers. The long embarkation times is just a niggle but there is something just not right and I cannot put my finger on it. If I am to guess I think it is the fellow pax - seem to be the wealthier Italians who are up their own asses. Costa seems to attract the workong class Italians.

MSC are bringimg a Musica class ship back to Soton with embarkation in Dublin. I am therefore willing to try them again.

Following The Vet's and MiniVets' Cruise on MSC Opera

I am so glad you enjoyed your time on Opera, as I guessed you would. :)

We didn;t find the food to be very good but each to their own I suppose.

Opera is certainly a lovely ship with lots going on, especially for kids.

I hope that your day ashore doesn't drag too much whilst you are waiting for your flight this evening.

Sounds super and looks like you enjoyed good weather for the time of year.

We have enjoyed 3 MSC cruises and would also travel with them again.

Departing from Dublin would make for a very useful and cost effective departure port for you all.

Does that mean that you and Mai are sitting on the roof of the train, whilst the others sit inside?
