Wansbrough's Digital Postcards from Celebrity Eclipse in the Caribbean

Postby Wansbrough » 24 Jan 2016 21:20

Have made it to the airport now and all checked in and just waiting in the departure lounge. Wondering what sort of flight we will have as Nicole's friend flew back last night and had terrible turbulence. The pilot admitted it was the worst he had ever encountered. Miami airport has to be the most outdated in the world. It's like the dark ages have returned.

Hope the flight is quite smooth for you.

I agree about Miami Airport. I have to say it the least favourite Airport I have ever used. The last time we arrived in Miami it took us nearly three hours to get through immigration as the officials were on a go slow due to staff cutbacks. Nightmare!

Safe journey home W.

Safe journey home W. Miami Airport was old fashioned in the 1990s when we used to use it, it sounds as though it hasn't changed much. Many thanks for some very interesting and beautifully illustrated postcards.

Celebrity Eclipse Postcard #16 – Miami & Disembarking (Part 3?)

Postby Dave » 25 Jan 2016 11:46

(And there's yet more from Wansbrough... :D )

I have just been for a wander round the hotel and found these two. The hotel is next to a river and there are signs warning you about poisonous snakes and alligators but they never mentioned these two guys.

I have not long been home and even though we slept a bit on the plane we both feel absolutely shattered. There is lots to sort, unpack etc..... Oh, and the matter of work tomorrow too.
We really enjoyed the cruise and it was exactly what we had hoped it to be. I hope you enjoyed the ride too.

Excellent blog as always W, such colourful pictures, I've never really fancied the Caribbean, but the blue skies have certainly been enticing over the last week of greyness here!

No need, there is a job you can apply for! That should keep you busy for a while
