Balmoral to South America

Postby hazel20 » 23 Jan 2016 13:36

Hello from Funchal. Bit drizzly here so haven't yet escaped the rain.

Great to come back to Balmoral, we knew so many people from previous cruises. There's a great atmosphere on board. People are excited!

Talks are going well - standing room only and getting lovely feedback.

Disappointing that ship wifi now costs £17 a day. That is a huge sum over 46 nights! You can buy a week's package for £63 but I still feel that's too expensive. I prefered the package where you bought 1440 minutes for £30 and and spread the time out. I don't need to to connected all the time - just to check emails twice a day.

Sounds exciting but agree huge waste of funds paying for such expensive WiFi. Perhaps you can provide a f/b link we could follow if possible. Have a great trip.

It's good to hear from you Hazel.

There is massive dissatisfaction with the wi-fi system Boudicca at the moment but we hear that like Balmoral, the system is soon to be updated at a massive price increase.

Nobody is happy about it of course. I wonder how many people will vote with their feet.

Meanwhile, have a great time on Balmoral.
