I've very little to report today; yesterday was quite tiring so we all wanted to spend a lazy day at the house today. We've played in the garden and made good use of the pool. And that's about it! :-)

It's our last full day tomorrow and we're planning to have a Normandy beach day.

Lazy days are allowed when on holiday!

Is your Normandy beach day - a day at a Normandy beach or will it be Normandy beaches from a D-Day perspective.

Yes, I could have put that better... the plan is for the latter! :-)

Dave's Digital Postcards from Seine Princess and Normandy

Fabulous family holiday, Ma, Pa and the weans - we say here in Scotland.

Love your photos from Mont St.Michel - we have never been but our younger daughter did when, like Geoff, on a school holiday to St.Malo. She still raves about it some 30 years later. :D

I think my first experience of the Mount was so amazing because, quite simply, I had never seen anything like that in my life before. The medieval street winding up to the Abbey were simply amazing and I was captivated. I have since returned a few times with Chris and our kids, but it still retains its magic for me. :)

Today was our last full day in France. This morning we all went to Arromanche to visit the Musee du Debarquement and to see the remains of the Mulberry harbours.

The exhibition was less extensive than I'd expected but of an extremely high quality. The dioramas and models were incredibly detailed.

We had lunch in the cafe opposite then drove the scenic route to Caen where we parked by the very large castle. Then we strolled around the town enjoying the sights.

Tomorrow, Fred and I are catching a late afternoon ferry from Le Havre. We should have plenty of time to do some shopping then visit Deauville before getting to the port. We probably won't get home until midnight!

Really enjoyed following this Dave, super photos.

Are the young ladies your daughters, or daughters in law? Very pretty both of them. Your grandsons are certainly growing fast :)
