BTW I love the term 'Beehive of the Seas' - so apt!

I thought ' Beehive of the Seas' was a new ship to RCCI and actually looked it up but couldn't find it.....

Problems with my phone as well as an unreliable wi-fi connection have meant that I can't post as much or as often as I'd like. :-( I'll make up for it when we get back. :-)

This afternoon we did a beach transfer to Orient Bay on the French side of St Martin. We didn't realise it when we booked it, but we were there three years ago with Thomson. It's not a bad beach, but the big Atlantic waves aren't good for snorkeling!

We really love this ship. My review will be called: Tui Discovery is so not Thomson. :-)

This evening we booked our next Christmas cruise. We'll be on Discovery 2 and visiting Cuba! :-)

Occasional updates from our Caribbean Christmas on TUI Discovery

You made a wise decision to be in the Caribbean now! Love the photos as I'm sure you know we have fog and freezing temperatures.

My phone is on its last legs but I can still make an occasional post from it. :-)

We're in St Kitts today. We haven't booked a tour because we plan to take a taxi to Cockleshell Bay and sit under the same palm tree we've sat under twice before. It's a sort of tradition. :-)

We received confirmation this morning that our Cuba cruise is booked and we've got the cabin we wanted. Roll on next Christmas! :-)

What will you do if there is already someone sat under your palm tree Dave.....

Heard on the radio that bookings on either of the TUI Discovery ships on sailings after May 2017, there is an offer of £100 off per booking and a free AI drinks package, or does it work out better to book to book another cruise whilst onboard?
Still really enjoying your updates :)

Did you book the Royal Suite? Good grief, what ever will you do with the baby grand piano at your disposal?

Hi Trace

We headed to the far end of Cockleshell Bay to find 'our' tree...

Image

...but it hadn't been treated well during our absence. It was surrounded by rubbish! :-(

Image

So we found a beach bar and had loungers and Carib beer instead. :-)

Image

I'm sure that everyone has their own favourite Caribbean island but we just love St Kitts. :-)

BTW, now that my phone is dying I get to be in lots more photos. ;-)

Hi again Trace. I think that all Tui cruises are going to be AI - the one we've just booked is. There was a 5% discount for booking on board plus no charge for selecting a cabin. So we saved about £250 and got what we think is the perfect cabin. :-)
