Mediterranean Christmas 2014 Saga Pearl II

As always, we booked this cruise eons ago, but suddenly it’s here, our pick up time is now 9am tomorrow morning to take us down to Dover. Pearls running a little late, due to as I was informed yesterday to “an unexpected Helivac which took until the early hours”. Some new destinations for us, funny isn’t it, we’ve travelled a fair bit but the worlds a big place, so still have plenty to go at! We love cruises with plenty of destinations, some of which are new for us, Rome and Florence are the big ones, plus one or two smaller ports as well!
We have a fabulous cabin again this time, outside cabin, slap bang in the middle of the vessel with everything in easy reach, cabin 231. We have had similar cabin before, (we had eight of us in there for a pre dinner glass or three of fizz and munchies one evening, enough room to seat everyone without having to sit on the bed) but this is in an even better location.

One deck up to Shackletons Bar, Main Dining Room and Discovery Lounge, oh and the library for T’internet :ugeek: Two decks up to Veranda Restaurant (for breakfast and lunch) and Verandah outside eating, yes we’ll still be out there

Captain Kees Speckman in command and weather permitting, the itinerary is …

21/12/14 Dover
23/12/14 El Ferrol Spain
26/12/14 Almeria Spain
28/12/14 Ajaccio Corsica
29/12/14 Olbia Sardinia
30/12/14 Trapani Sicily
31/12/14 Valetta Malta
2/1/15 Civitavecchia Italy for Rome
3/1/15 Livorno Italy for Florence
4/1/15 Nice France
5/1/15 Barcelona Spain
6/1/15 Palma Majorca
7/1/15 Cartagena Spain
8/1/15 Gibraltar
10/1/1 Leixoes Portugal
13/1/15 Southampton

Satellite connection to T’internet permitting will update as and when I can

So Happy Christmas Cruising Mates hope you all enjoy yourselves, we’ll certainly be giving it our best

Thanks for the banner Mike

Bon Voyage Barry

Was there any enlightenment as to the cause of the 'unexpected Medivac' ?

At least 9 am is a more leisurely and civilised picking up time. ;) When are you due at Dover. ?

It sounds as if sailing will be delayed by some hours. I hope you don't miss dinner - or your pre dinner drinkies :o

Happy sailing

A lady passenger required emergency 'Helivac' so was airlifted off the ship.
