Aruba

Aruba

Aruba is so easy to DIY, we walked along the harbour from the ship and soon came to some good shops, there were a few stalls selling hats etc but we went past them and hit the expensive ones. They have some good deals on designer items particulary shoes, bags and jewlery. The surroundings for me were much better than St Maarten with a much higher quality of goods. I managed to get OH to part with some cash and bought a great bag and also some shoes. Along the quay there are a few nice places to stop and get a drink or a coffee and a snack if you feel like it. They didn't rush us at all and we people watched for ages. There were some casinos which were open during the day but we didn't venture in them, much to much shopping to do. In the afternoon we got a taxi who took us to a nice beach which was clean and had free sun loungers, there were the usual couple of bars and a shop. The sea was very clear and warm and we felt safe the whole time we were there. We had a great day and would go there again,

Isn't it tax free that Island? I fancy going there for two or three weeks, it seems to be the new Caribbean finding apparently? Dutch speaking I think.
