Another miserable day here this album always cheers me up

It's interesting to compare tastes in music because I am embarrassed to say that I have never heard of Tom Petty either Jim.

I've heard of Tom Petty and been to see him and his band 'The Heartbreakers' at Wembley Arena on 'The Full Moon Fever' tour that this track is taken from. Oh dear! Just realised that would have been over 24 years ago :(

I've not seen Tom Petty live but I'm a fan. When I was in a band (a long time ago) we used to play several of his songs: King's Highway, Learning to Fly, Free Fallin', and 'I Won't Back Down' come to mind. I liked the songs even more because they were easy for me!

(By an amazing coincidence, I was browsing music videos on YouTube this evening and I came across Tom Petty doing Little Red Rooster.)

Edit: I've just found a recording we made of King's Highway. I warn you though, it's very rough - we were just jamming and it was recorded on a cassette tape recorder!

Depending on your browser, clicking the link might play the song... http://www.cruisingmates.co.uk/sandbox/kings_highway.mp3 Oh, and before you ask, that's not me singing, I just played the bass. ;)
