Had and interesting meal with a avid cruiser, who has 'done' the Caribbean many times, but this spring went to to Cuba on a cruise for the very first time, completely fell in love with Cuba, highlight of her cruise. Top Tip walk a couple of 100 yds away from the Cadillac's by the port gates, through the wine bars and restaurants, towards the 'fort' and pick up your Cadillac for half the price.

That's good to know. We have hotel stay this Decemberin Cuba , plan to do a Cadillac tour. Everyone raves about Cuba and the cars .

The "Fathom" cruise line- in reality, P&O's small ship Adonia, on lease for a year or so- became the first line to allow Americans to visit Cuba without penalty, because they were on humanitarian visits not vacation...
This has shown the way for various cruise lines to rustle up their smallest ships for similar visits, so it looks as though Cuba will be getting busier shortly. Adonia returns to the UK for adult only cruises, with around 700 passengers per trip.

She was moored next to Boudicca when we were there in March.

Thanks for that picture. I've been reading reviews about these cruises, which have been exciting for Americans.
One thing which puzzled them was the purchase of drinks... they'd buy their rum in Cuba, then show the bottles when they went back on board, expecting them to be taken away... of course, the P&O crew aren't used to removing booze, so just let it through.
This caused a real buzz amongst the passengers!
