Helicopter Debarkation

Have you ever seen someone who had to leave the ship by helicopter? At night? It's truly impressive to see the skill that goes into that.

We've been on cruises where passengers have been medivacked off the ship, either by helicopter, or a fast boat, if we are reasonably close to land. However, it has often been in dead of night and we've not been aware until an announcement the next morning. Yes, there is a lot of skill required by everybody. Occasionally, the Saga ships get involved in training exercises during the day and the helicopter pilot delivers a copy of the daily paper to the captain.
