The Concordia was a very beautiful ship, probably one of the best in Costa's fleet:(((

A cruise ship is so majestic and beautiful that it's so heart breaking seeing it in the condition Concordia is in.

I agree Gemma. The photos of it lying on it's side kept reminding me of some magnificent big creature that had been brought down. :(

The last program I saw showed the owner of one of the top salvage companies. He said there were only five companies world wide who could even consider taking on the task of salvage. He said most were hesitant to do so in case of failure........which would reflect badly on their companies.
He ended by saying 'And even if salvage was successful, would people sail on it ?'
We sailed on it last year and it's quite traumatic seeing 'our' cabin under water.
